Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This policy covers games and applications developed and published by NorthStar Studioz, an independent studio founded and run by Vikas Sahani in India (“we”, “us”, “our”), distributed on the Meta Horizon Store and other platforms, and this website. Where an individual app processes data differently, its store listing or in-app notice will say so.

2. Data our apps may process

Depending on the features an app offers, it may use the Meta Horizon Platform SDK to process:

• Meta user ID: a platform identifier used to verify that you own the app (entitlement check) and, where an app supports it, to link your saved progress to Meta’s cloud storage.
• Username or display name: used on-device to personalise in-app interface elements.
• Purchase receipts: if an app offers optional purchases, Meta validates them so the content can be unlocked. We never see your payment details.

3. Mixed reality, cameras and spatial data

• No camera access: our apps do not receive raw camera images or video from your headset. Passthrough is rendered by Meta Horizon OS.
• Room and scene data: where an app uses your room layout (for example, the position of a table), that data is provided by the operating system and used on-device to place content.
• Spatial anchors: anchors that keep content in place are stored on your device. If an app offers cloud-saved or shared anchors, they are stored by Meta’s platform services, not on servers operated by us.

4. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent or trade your data. We do not use advertising networks or third-party analytics that profile you. Platform features such as entitlement checks, cloud saves and purchases are provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., which processes that data under its own privacy policy.

5. This website

This site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). By default it sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties; its fonts are served from the same site. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Your browser stores two small choices for this site: that you have seen the intro this session, and your analytics choice below.

Analytics (optional)

If you choose Allow, the site loads Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (for example _ga) and uses your IP address to estimate a rough location. Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off, and the data is never used for advertising. If you choose No thanks, or make no choice, Google Analytics is never loaded. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Children

Our apps are intended for users aged 13 and over, or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.

7. Retention and deletion

• On-device data: uninstalling an app, or clearing its data in Meta Horizon OS settings, removes data stored on your headset.
• Cloud-saved data: cloud saves are kept by Meta’s platform according to your Meta account settings. Uninstalling does not delete them.
• Requests: to request access to or deletion of data associated with our apps, email studioznorthstar@gmail.com and we will help you, including with steps on Meta’s side.

8. Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above.
